Frozen flowers- mixed media piece using dried flowers and Sculpture Medium

Hi Arty Souls!
Today I tried something else :) I was going to throw away the old bouquet where I though that maybe I can use it for a project:) I wanted to create an effect of flowers covered with frost and snow:)
And Sculpture Medium by Prima Marketing was perfect for it. I glued the flowers  to mdf board first using gel medium, then I put generous amount of scultpure medium, after that added a little bit of watercolours just to bring the texture out;) Around the edges I used Snow Paste by Prima Marketing.
At the end I sprinkled it with white glitter:)
All supplies you can find in Mixed Media Place

Watercolour love

 Hello Arty Souls:)

Since I attended fabulous workshop with Danielle Donaldson, I am in love with watercolours:) And I do have my favourites already:) I use Watercolor Confections by Prima Marketing. They are coming in cute small and portable tins and they are combine in little colour pallets. There are 5 different pallets so far and I have four of them and I love all of them:) They have very strong pigment which allows to use them also in mixed media. These two paintings I made on white canvas 20cmx20cm. In the first one I used the Shimmering Lights set and I love its calm and natural tone:) As you can see, I added some embellishments too. One you add a little bit of gesso, watercolours will flow:)
Here I used the Pastel set which has my favourite mint colour in it:)

 These are other three sets:
Do not be afraid of watercolours, just take time to play with them and to observe them:) And I can assure you, they are fun to works with:)

Doll making:)

Hello Arty Souls!
I had a pleasure to attend the workshop with Tracy Scott and I was learning how to make dolls!!! I wanted to make dolls since long time, but I didnt have courage as I don't have sawing machine (surprise!) I have to say that it takes time to make a doll from scratch:) We were painting, sawing, stuffing and painting again. But it is so worth it as they turned out really nice. Of course I wanted to make a fairy, my little daughter and whimsical house, things I love the most:)
Then we also did art journaling and we and I also loved the way Tracy was mixing all techniques together. My page looks like crazy fun fair but I love it!!! To sum up: workshop was fantastic, Tracy is fabulous teacher who explain every project in detail and have a great knowledge about using different mixed media techniques;) You can find Tracy on Facebook
I feel very inspired to make more dolls, so keep an eye on my Etsy shop as my fairies might show up there in a stuffed form :)))

Wooden Fairy for Prima Challenge

Hello Arty Friends:)

At the last minute I decided to take part in Prima Picks Challenge. I was inspired by their fantastic board and products of course. I wanted to make something in Tandiart style, so I altered my wooden fairy, which my boyfriend cut out for me:) I listed all the Prima products below and you probably noticed in my tutorials that I use them all the time. My starting point is always gesso, for texture I use texture paste and my beloved art stones:) In this project I also used sculpture medium for hair and I added color with Oil pastels and Watercolours by Prima. I tried to keep it nice and soft with pop of yellow and blue;)

I used following products by Prima

Keep the fingers crossed for me:)
