All about Eggs:)

Happy Easter everyone!!!
This Easter I am spending in Poland. Our big tradition is to paint eggs and bless them with other pieces of food such as sausage, bread and cake . We also put eggs in a basket  as a symbol of new beginnings and figure of lamb as a symbol of winning Jesus. After that we have Easter breakfast in which we share the blessing food.
Myself and my Mum were decorating eggs:

I decided to paint one of my bunnies:)

And I up-cycled an old basket adding hand made flowers, burlap and lace

Happy ester from Polish Easter Bunny!!!

Vision boards with 'The Dancing Soul'

I had a great pleasure to facilitate one session of the 12 weeks programme called 'The Artist's Way'. This course is aimed at helping people with their artistic creative recovery.  Based on a book by the same name, author Julia Cameron teaches techniques and exercises to assist people in gaining self-confidence, in harnessing their creative talents and skills. Correlation and emphasis is used throughout the course showing a connection between artistic creativity and a spiritual connection with the Great Creator or God.   The program is focused on supporting relationships in removing artistic blocks and fostering confidence. The workshop is facilitated by amazing psychotherapist Martina Breen
Martina asked me to facilitate one session with participants which aimed to design the vision boards. It was an amazing experience to work with 14 beautiful people, whose positive energy and creativity inspired me:)
This course and other interesting courses you can find in 'The Dancing Soul' Adolescent and Family wellness Centre in Athlone, Ireland.

Painting for Sara

A good friend of mine Sara is moving to America:((( I know Sara for 4 years and she has special place in my heart. I wanted to make something special for her and her lovely husband Brendan. Both of them traveled across the Europe in their beloved Pixie (VW blue van which they have t sell before the move to USA). They both love music (Sara is playing violin and Brendan is playing guitar) and they both love water sports. So I have decided to put all these details in the art piece which will be remanding them about their passion and second home - Galway in Ireland.

After detailed planning, I came up with....

Sara loves Poppies

I have included the photos from their travelling, wedding and favourite places...

Sara chose the affirmation

I will miss you Girl!!!!!!

Celebrating anniversary :)

To celebrate our anniversary, myself and my beautiful other half decided to do some art (hmmm i wander whose idea was it :))))) We decided to get messy and try a new technique of mixed media by using a plaster. First we dipped the pieces of plaster in the water and than applied them to the canvas. There is no need to use glue as the plaster will stick to canvas while drying. We also built different shapes with it. We left it to dry overnight. Than we painted with acrylics, inks and stamps. My boyfriend was really proud of himself. He thought that he is not able to do any art. And that was my challenge, to prove that art is for everybody. His big smile was a great outcome from this art workshop ;)

 1. This is the plaster bandage, I have used for the project. You can buy it in any art supply shop. Just cut the small pieces and dip it in warm water. Than...

2. Apply wet pieces of plaster to the canvas

3. Leave it to dry overnight (no glue needed)

4. Paint with brush and acrylics. You can aslo use stencils, inks and stamps

4. I displayed them next to my beautiful roses which I got for the anniversary:)
