I am here today with art journal spread I made recently:) I was so inspired by new collection of 7 Dots Studio that I decided to create little fairy representing 'Cotton candy dreams' collection:) I also used  new watercolours by Prima which I love:) 

And there is also a video tutorial with introduction of the 7 Dots papers!

Doll making:)

Hello Arty Souls!

I had a pleasure to attend the workshop with Tracy Scott and I was learning how to make dolls!!! I wanted to make dolls since long time, but I didnt have courage as I don't have sawing machine (surprise!) I have to say that it takes time to make a doll from scratch:) We were painting, sawing, stuffing and painting again. But it is so worth it as they turned out really nice. Of course I wanted to make a fairy, my little daughter and whimsical house, things I love the most:)

Then we also did art journaling and we and I also loved the way Tracy was mixing all techniques together. My page looks like crazy fun fair but I love it!!! To sum up: workshop was fantastic, Tracy is fabulous teacher who explain every project in detail and have a great knowledge about using different mixed media techniques;) You can find Tracy on Facebook

I feel very inspired to make more dolls, so keep an eye on my Etsy shop as my fairies might show up there in a stuffed form :)))

Dzis dla was strona z mojego jurnala, ktora stworzylam na wyzwanie blogu Kawa i Nozyczki. W tym miesiacu zajmujemy sie literowaniem oraz swoim imieniem. Nie bede sie oszukiwac, w kaligrafii dobra nie jestem (kura pazurem typ) i rowniez nie jestem wielkim fanem swojego imeinia, wiec uzylam mojego pseudonimu artystycznego. Today a journal page for you. I made it for Kawa i Nozyczki blog challenge. We had to use littering and our name. I am not good in calligraphy at all:) And I am not a fan of my Name so I use my art nick.

I made a simple page representing my favourite doodles shapes and colours...

Capture life moments- art journal page

Hello Arty Souls,

This project I made for a monthly challenge (as a DT) for Craft for the Craic blog.

September theme  is all about circles:) So what I did in this art journal page is:

1.As a background I used vintage book page

2. I added gesso, inks and stamps

3. I cut out the circles from one of my backgrounds sheets and I adhered it to the page.

4. I added some doodles, cheese cloth and Tim Holtz word band.

Hey Art Soul

I am still in a vintage mood and I decided to let it out in my art journal:) This page is simply made of cardboard, lace, music sheet, some chipboard, cheese cloth and clay heart :) Just Simple ...Be...

And this one is also vintage, and in my favourite  combination of turquoise and brown... I used Tom Holtz paper, ScrapFX chipboard some stamps, inks and ephemera...

June Projects for DT of Cardz'n'Scrapz

Today I wanted to show you three projects which I designed as a part of Design Team for Cardz'n'Scrapz in June:

Draw It, Paint It, Collage it- tutorial

Hello again my arty souls:)

I am recently obsessed with collages. They are so simple and cheerful, that I just can't stop making them:))) So today I wanted to show you how do I make them and maybe I will encourage you also find this inner child inside you and play :)

I am very inspired by spring and little birds, which made a little nest under my roof:) I am so enjoying their singing:) That is why this art journal page has been created:)

I started by randomly applying some leftover of acrylic paint. I didn't think much about the colors...

 I gathered some scarps of papers and collage pieces from my painted pages. Sometimes when I watch TV I just draw random shapes (hearts, stars, flowers) than I cut them and use them in my paintings and collages.

I added collage pieces to the background

Just play with composition and remember to use contrasting colours

When I was happy with the collage pieces, I added more acrylic paint.

As for the bird, Firstly I put coat of gesso on thin piece of paper. The reason for that is that it allowed me to shade my bird with Faber Castell Gelatos and Pitt Pens. I drew my bird with watercolour pencil than I coloured it with Pitt Pens and Gelatos. I added a little bit of water for shading.

I cut the bird out and place it on my page

I added some writing and READY!!!:)
