Hello Arty Souls!

Today a journal page for you. I made it for Kawa i Nozyczki blog challenge. We had to use littering and our name. I am not good in calligraphy at all:) And I am not a fan of my Name so I use my art nick.
I made a simple page representing my favourite doodles shapes and colours...

My first Fairy Doll

 Hello Arty Souls!

I am so thrilled to announce that I finally made my first doll (wall ornament)!!!! This idea was in my head for very long time. I wanted to combine my fairies and 3D elements. And by using: plaster, cardboard, metal, vintage doilies and tissue paper: tadaaaaaaaa here she is:)

I am proud of her and she gave me wings to go and create more and more. So you sit and enjoy the photos, and I am going back to my studio:)

I would like to submit this project to Mixed Media Place challenge: 3D

' Embrace your Dream' mixed media on wood for Cozy Challenge with Finnabair + video tutorial

Hello Arty Souls!

Today I wanted to share with you my new project inspired by Finnbair  and her Creative Design team:)
I decided to enter her Finnabair's Cozy Challenge as winter just came and I love to feel wooly and cozy:) And also those colours are outside of my comfort zone (as I always use very vibrant colours). But we need to challenge ourselves sometimes, right? :)
So I decided to work on wood, as it has a cozy texture already:) I used many materials by Prima and Finnbair and also some materials by Lindy's Gang Stamp, Docrafts, 13arts, FaberCastell.

I also did a video! (scroll down to the bottom of this post)

I created my cozy moodboard for inspiration. I use the images from internet but also in the bottom left corner is a journal spread of my friend Marta, who is also a team member of Finnabair's DT:) Her art work is out of this world!

As I am in love with fairies, I decided to add the little one:)

And there is a video tutorial:) Enjoy!

Fairy life- mixed media painting

Hello Arty Souls!

This is my recent painting on 10x10 canvas, which was inspired by Scrap Around The World October Challenge

This was the mood board for the challenge: Vibrant & Glamorous.
What inspired me to create this painting was a combination of gold and purple and also a butterfly :) I sprinkled this lovely combination with a little bit of magic and decided to incorporate a little fairy and its sparkly dust:)

I hope you enjoyed it!

Love,

Doilies and denim- my future wedding dress ;)

Hello Arty Souls!

Recently I got inspired by creative Marta (Maremi's Small Art) who made a video tutorial how to make a paper mache dress and convert it into mixed media art piece on canvas. I love Marta and her amazing talent!!!
Make sure that you will visit her blog

So I decided to put a little twist on the project, because there is many artists who like making art pieces using the dress idea but important  is to got inspired  and try to make it in your own style:) And because I am a denim girl, I decided to combine this material (bye bye too small jeans) with my beloved vintage laces and doilies. I also design the background using vintage music notes, vintage dress pattern, inks and stamps

Now I have to find someone who will make this dress in my size:P
I am serious!!! If I ever get married, that will be my wedding dress!!!

This project will take part in Rhedd's Creative Spirit An Altered Art Challenge Blog - August Challenge

Live life in full colour

Hey Art Souls!

Recently I have an obsession with 3D Flowers. I absolutely love flowers made by Prima Marketing. I bought few of them recently and they look fabulous in mixed media projects:)

For this project I also used house hold items:
-old credit card for spreading the paint
- pen's lid to make small circles in a background
- soft wire (I found it in my boyfriend's tool box) to make a house:)

and also: acrylics, scrapbooking paper, stamps, stencils, modelling paste, gel pen, rub ons

This project is for following challenges:

'I choose to be free'

Hello Arty Souls!

I just finished my new painting which was inspired by Mixed Media Place July Challenge. The theme of this challenge was a song 'Freedom' by George Michael.

Visit Mixed Media Place by clicking here

This song inspired me to let it go, use darker colours and  come up with scratchy look:)

I hope you enjoyed it :)

Mixed Media Recipe Book :)

Hello Again!!!

I love using house hold items so much that I decided to introduce you to another project- Recipe Book. I found this book on sale and because it was very plain, I decided to give it a Tandiart flavour:)

My colour inspiration were: my favourite colour - turquoise and my favourite food - strawberry.

These two colours look great together!!!

And again I used some familiar items: credit card for painting, bubble wrap for texture and cardboard for a heart.

I also used acrylics, stamps and rub ons

A little blue bow was a part of old hair clip:)

My first recipe: strawberry cake of course!!! (in Polish)

I send this project for a July Challange in The Mixed Media Monthly Challenge blog

Painting with household items:)

Hey Arty Souls!

Today I want to show you how to think outside of the box and to use your household items to make art.
If you look around your house, you will find many items which work great as a texture tools and moulding/building material. For this project I used: tin foil, old credit card, a pencil, masking type, old magazines and some art supplies: acrylic paint, stamps, washi tape.

This project I made for The Mixed Media Monthly Challenge- Around The House

Check the Mixed Media Monthly Challenge blog here

Hearts made of tin foil. To be able to paint them I covered them with masking tape.
